Description:
Beautiful vintage Remington 40-XB single shot .22 LR benchrest target rifle rifle with 28" heavy barrel. Manufactured in March of 1971, this rifle remains in high condition. The rifle retains approximately  98+% of its original blue finish, and shows virtually no mechanical wear. The walnut "marksman" style stock is also in outstanding condition, exhibiting only a few tiny handling marks. Due to the demand for the 40X as a shooter, prices keep climbing and high condition examples are getting harder to find. This particular rifle is is set up with scope blocks for a Unertl or Lyman type scope (original 20X Unertl scope available in a separate listing).
