700 BDL VS (Varmint) 222 1967 As New First Year Production Of The Varmint Model...You won't find one nicer

This gun could not possibly be nicer, early (ser # 283XXX) first year production of the handsome VS .There are a few modest handling marks but by any standard it is well over 90%...probably 95%
Rich honey colored American Walnut stock with correct alum butt plate. To any who are not familiar with these evidence of overspray on the butt plate confirms its originalty .... These were Viet Nam era guns and some folk convert these to M40 Clones however this gun is just too pretty, nice and original to fiddle with .
These first gen were decorated with distinctive Fleure De Lis checkering.....to us the most attractiive of all.
Known for exceptional out of the box accuracy this one is chambered in classic 222 Remington. These were popular in our area in the NE; most farmers were happy to have someone shoot the woodchucks ...it wasn't quite as noisy as some of the hotter calibers .....Desd 
woodchuckes decorating barbwire fences at the time were a common site.
Even the pg cap is largely unmarked...its just a classic collectable example or a fun one hole shooter.
