SOLD PENDING FUNDS - Remington 700 222 Remington Magnum CARBINE
Description: For sale is a pretty rare Remington 700 CARBINE in the fairly rare caliber of 222 REMINGTON MAGNUM. I measure the barrel length at 20" from the face of the muzzle to the approximate shank end, inside of the receiver. The blue on the rifle is in excellent condition. The bore looks pristine. The stock, however, has seen some use. It puzzles me how the metal work remains so nice yet the stock shows use. Maybe carried a lot and shot little? It has a blind internal magazine. It wears a ring set that fastens into the factory drilled and tapped screw holes. The stamping denoting the manufacture date is somewhat of a puzzlement. It has what looks like a Y laying on its side as the first character. That is followed by the letters A and K, and those are followed by an X that is right next to the receiver face. I think it means the rifle was made in 1963, but do your own research to make sure. I have always had a soft spot for the triple deuce magnum. I've owned several Sakos in the caliber, as well as some Remington 722 models and had a custom varmint rifle made in the caliber. They have all shot wonderfully. At any rate, I think I have priced the rifle reasonably, especially for the configuration and the caliber. If you have questions or want additional pictures, feel free to let me know.
