Remington Keene Carbine .45-70 Gov't Magazine fed bolt action AWESOME BORE! Here is a very rare Remington-Keene Magazine carbine chambered in 45-70. 20 inch barrel, bolt action, tube fed mag. Original finish on wood and metal. If you look at the pics you will notice the metal finish has some many areas of blue loss but it does not appear to be from wear or rust but rather exposure to something, a liquid by the looks of the blue loss patterns, that clearly ate the blue off but did not rust or pit the metal. Aside from the streaked blue loss the gun is really in excellent original condition. Stock has original finish showing only a few light areas of wear. Fittings all still retain decent origin al case colors. Action functions perfect and the bolt face is bright and clean. The bore is bright and shiny and other than a couple tiny spots, it looks near perfect. The bore condition alone speaks volumes about how little this carbine was used. This rifle still has its complete original cleaning rod in sections in the trapdoor of the butt plate. None of the screws are buggered and it looks even better in person than in pictures.
