THis Target rifle was produced in the peiod between 1825 and 1839 I In 1839 E Remington added Remington & Sons to his barrels /This rifle has been well maintained for close to 200 years and is now leaving my colection to someone that will appreciate this fine example of early American Rifle making./ I have not found a rifle maker with the initals of JxK however there were numerous gun makers in the early 1800,s THe wood is solid showing no cracks/ THe ram rod appears to be original to the gun / this gun weights in at clos to 11 pounds / Believe to be close to a 40 calibur bore
