Remington 770 Stainless – 7mm Rem Mag – 24" Barrel – 3+1

Remington made the 770 from 2007 – 2019 as a lower priced alternative to the very successful Model 700. They were available in a variety of calibers and most had a factory mounted scope included, as does ours. The serial number on this consignment sale is 71495232 but the date code on the barrel is not clear so we can’t narrow down the actual date of manufacture.

Our rifle has a 24 inch barrel and is chambered for 7mm Rem Mag. That’s a great round for long range accuracy and you can take down most game at distance with the round. The detachable magazine holds 3 rounds and you can have another in the chamber.

The bolt is a 60 degree tilt and moves freely. There is a manual safety just behind the bolt handle. The trigger has a slight take up and then a clean break.

The bore on this rifle is clean, as is the barrel. The muzzle crown is in good shape with no nicks. The black synthetic stock is in Excellent condition and the black Remington recoil pad is Excellent also. The metal is in Very Good condition but does have evidence of use, as it should. There are, however, no major defects.

Already mounted on the rifle is a Bushnell 3-9x40. These scopes generally came from the factory, already mounted and boresighted on the rifle. This is not a high end scope but the glass is clear and the magnification adjustments work as they should.

As an inexpensive long distance rifle with good knockdown capability and an already mounted optic, this 770 Stainless is worth considering.
