The butt stock is a smooth grip hardwood with a storage compartment. The forearm is a smooth grip, two-piece hardwood. Serial Number 3756248. The barrel is arsenal stamped with an R A and dated 4-43. The 03-A3 was produced during WWII to arm the rapidly expanding armed forces. It has subtle variations from the original Model 03 to reduce costs and increase production. No box. .30-06 Springfield
