Scarce Remington Model 12C NRA Target rifle. Per the serial number, gun was manufactured in December, 1917. Has a 24” octagon barrel. Bore is typical for the era: dark with somewhat visible grooves, common for a gun of this age. Top of barrel reads: “Target Model 12-C N.R.A.” The pistol grip stock and forearm are crack and/or split free and retain the original finish. The bluing shows plumb, light rough spots and some thin areas. The rear sight is a Lyman with a target peep aperture. Front sight is marked, but unreadable from wear. Only readable area: “Patented July 14, ‘91”. Gun cycles and shoots, locks up correctly. It shoots shorts, longs and long rifle. Please email me with questions.
