** SOLD ** Remington Model 7400 Semi Auto Rifle Chambered in 30-06 Caliber **Mfg 1995 - Very Nice Wood - Open Sights**
Description: Here we have a very nice Remington Model 7400 semi auto rifle in .30-06 caliber. The Remington Model 7400 is a series of semi-automatic rifles manufactured by Remington Arms. The Model 7400 was a replacement of the Model 740 rifle which Remington produced from 1952 to 1981. The 7400 model was ultimately replaced by the Model 750 in 2006. Many a deer have been harvested with Remington 7400 rifles. The .30-06 caliber is extremely versatile and ammunition variety is probably as good as any other centerfire caliber. This particular example is in very good overall condition both physically and mechanically. The semi auto action is extremely smooth and sure. There is some high edge wear on some of the metal components and a scratch on the right side of the barrel. Most wear is on the removable magazine. The 22 inch crowned barrel has a good bore with strong rifling. The front sight is ramped and the rear sight is adjustable for elevation and windage. The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped for installation of a scope. The stock and forend are in amazing condition with good grain and effective checkering. There are just a few handling and pressure marks on the wood and a nice Pachmayr recoil pad. This fine Remington would be a great hunting rifle....it still has many years of hunting in it's future. Talley and several other companies make scope rings with integral bases. PRICE: $595.00 We are Antique & Modern Firearms in Lexington, KY, a dealer of fine firearms since 1974.
