COLLECTOR GRADE Near MINT circa 1995 Remington m700 VLS Varmint 22-250 with box!

 Listing this VERY nice  1995 vintage  Remington m700 VLS rifle for sale. This rifle is one of the first generation VLS model made for only a few years with the original Varmint BDL  style stock with skipline checkering and the black tip and grip cap machined from Rutland Stratobond Brown Laminated birch. This is the prettiest of all of the Remington 700 Varmint models and I doubt we EVER see standard Remington m700 Varmint rifles of this quality again.
The gun is a 22-250 with a 26" barrel. The gun has the standard LOP at and weighs 9.75 lbs. The original owner was a gent from Upstate NY who lived near the Remington Plant who took the gun back and had the custom shop gunsmiths there glass bed / pillar the action and free floated the barrel. The work is so neatly done it still looks stock. They also tuned the factory trigger to a SAFE and crisp 2.5Lbs. It was his baby and only made a few trips to the range. I doubt this gun has even had 200 rounds through it and the bore is as new.
The bluing is as new and the stock is 100% as well. The gun functions great and easily shoots 5 shots into .75 MOA or less with good factory ammo. The rifle comes with it's original factory box and manual.  With the  Remington m700 rifle's future still uncertain- these are now very collectable. My price on this gun is $1,195 plus $45 shipping and insurance. If your receiving FFL will not accept shipments from an individual there will be a $30 fee added for a dealer to dealer transfer,
