A few were produced in the lst yr (1962) making this gun made in Ma of 1964 the 2d full yr of production. Chamberings in 222 mag are among the most rare of all 700's....with only 492 made in this cal in 1964. The conditon is truly as or near new with flaws so minor as to not be worth mention. Normally the pg cap, forend tip and floor plate show wear howver this gun does not and are nearly perfect. The georgous rich honey colored American Walnut Stock with distinctive and handsome lst gen Fleur De Lis checkering is stunning. Both front and rear sie are in place as is the front site hood.
