Remington 700 BDL VS (Varmint Special) 6mm 1971 Rare Beauty With Untertl Type 6x18 2d Gen Ribbon Checkered

This is truely a unique gun you are not likley to find another like it. 1st ithe VS or Deluxe Walnut Stocked Varmint Specials were not introduced until 1967. the were not made in 6mm until that year and only 1400 or so were produced. In 1971 when this fine examle was made only 642 were made in the VS configuration making it one of the lest common of all models and cals of the millions of 700's made.
Although this has a recoil pad the stock WAS NOT SHORTENED. IT HAS A 24" varmint weiight factory barrel. The handsome 2d gen Ribbon Checkerd stock is like the rest of the gun in excellent but not quite perfecf condtion with minor compression marks and verly little loss of blue but NOT pitted at all. and only modest handling marks on the stock. The stock is the correct lenght and was not cut..pad was added.
Here is the 2d best part. It comes with the magnificent 6x18 Target scope with AO. Made in Japan in the 60' s ...(The country known for fine lenses) it is the equivalent of Unertls and B&L Balvars...If it were a Unertl the scope might fetch amounts not much under 2k...Scope will have to ship separate and will have its own separte shipping charge but the scope is included in the price of the gun.
This package is a KEEPER. If you want to shoot coyotes or deer / antelope out to very long distances check this one out...
