Description:
This rifle is very, very special. Built with all the advanced features for accuracy in bench rest guns but in .35 Remington caliber. Trued and lapped Model 700 action. 24 inch Shilen Match stainless barrel with 1/12 inch twist. Jewell adjustable trigger. Special order McMillan stock and stock finish. Pachmayr Decelerator pad. Chambered with special order kit reamer that perfectly fits a factory round! (important as factory .35 Remington reamers are built sloppy for pumps, lever and auto loading rifles). The action has been trued and lapped. 100% contact of locking lugs.  Assembled by the well known Randy Melvin of Bull Mountain Rifles. 

The story of this rifles existence came about to prove what a well built .35 Remington would do in a modern rifle configuration. The original rifle I chose for that assignment was a Remington Model 600 factory .35 Remington. That turned out to be less than exemplary as the chamber was sloppy, the barrel too short, had a less than perfect barrel twist and a trigger like a rusty gate hinge. The rifle I am selling turned out to be the rifle I wanted it to be and more. I took it to African and killed all that I shot at including a one shot kill on a 1400 pound Eland. The gun has been well taken care of and has had a total of 415 rounds through it. I am getting old and it is time to lighten up on gun inventory. This will ship in the lower 48 states for $45.00.
