For sale is a Remington Model 700 BDL Heavy Barrel Varmint bolt-action rifle, chambered in the legendary .222 Remington cartridge – the cartridge that set the standard for varmint accuracy before the .223 Remington took center stage. This rifle is in excellent used condition and represents the classic varmint rifle that defined a generation of precision shooting. Serial Number: A6541937.
This BDL Varmint features a 24-inch heavy varmint barrel (the classic "bull barrel") with a deep, glossy blued finish – a finish that rewards careful handling with a brilliant luster but shows every touch. The Monte Carlo stock is finished in high-gloss checkered walnut, offering sharp, crisp checkering that provides an incredible grip. The rifle has Weaver scope mounting bases installed (no optic or rings included). Overall length is 43.4 inches.
Condition Notes: This rifle shows little wear and tear from use. There are minor handling marks on the right side of the forend, but these are barely noticeable and do not detract from the rifle's excellent appearance. The checkering remains crisp and offers incredible grip. The blued finish is still strong and glossy – though it certainly shows off any fingerprints it encounters, so a wipe-down after handling is recommended to keep it looking its best.
