SCARCE 1st Series Remington Model 700 BDL CARBINE 30-06 Caliber 20" Barrel FREE SHIP!
Description: This is a scarce First Series Remington Model 700 BDL bolt action CARBINE in 30-06 with 20" barrel and the really nice fleur-de-lis checkering along with the black fore end and grip cap, both with white line spacers, and factory sling swivel studs. The 20" carbine was standard only from 1962 to 1964, at which time the standard changed to 22" for this caliber. This one has a "WL" date code for August 1964, likely one of the last carbines made, and thus qualifies as a Curio & Relic (at least 50 years old and having features no longer produced/collector value). The original factory open sights are still installed and the factory holes for the scope blocks are plugged with the correct screws. 5 shot total capability. CONDITION: All the blued surfaces retain 95% original blue with some very light scratches from use. All markings are clear. Stock is in great shape with no extra holes, never sanded or refinished. The factory butt plate has been replaced by a professionally installed Pachmyr rubber butt pad. Length of pull measures about 13 1/4" so I believe the stock was trimmed slightly for installation. Excellent bright shiny bore. Crisp action with properly functioning safety and floor plate release. Grades NRA Modern Excellent. With the Remington factory in Ilion (about 45 minutes from my house) permanently closed, these older Remington firearms are quickly going up in value and becoming collectors prizes, so don't miss out on this piece of American gun-making history! TERMS: No international sales. Must ship to FFL or C&R license holder (sales within New York State require FFL only). Please be aware of what is legal in your state. 3 day non-firing inspection. Not warranted safe to fire until checked out by a competent gunsmith. Buyer pays return shipping. Payment by bank check, personal check or money order. All major credit cards accepted with 4% convenience fee added. Ships by UPS Ground with tracking. Always interested in used long guns and used antique handguns so please contact me if you have anything for sale or trade. 315.251.4799 with questions or concerns. FREE SHIPPING!
