This unique example of Remingtons exceptional pump deer rifle looks as it came out one of the really good books on huntin gthe Noth East or Upper Midwest by Ben East or John Wooters This hansome checkering patern was only used for one year around 1966 or 67 for some reason and was quite attractive...why the short run...we don't know. The overall conditon is exceptional and clearly it has not spent much time if any in the woods.
Separately the scope will not be recognized by young shooters but is a Bausch and Lomb ...the same folks who've made quality glass for generations. At the time this gun was made the scope was made in Rochester New York (later moved overseas) and the mount is also unique:
made specifially for these sopes also in Rochester by a company called Kuharsky....Unique in 2 respects: lst there are not adjustments in the scope, adjustments are done on the base. Additonally these were made at a time whe many had less disposable income than today; the scope is spring loaded into the base such that it can be removed in seconds. A fellow might hae had a second rifle with the same base...the scope could go from rifle to rifle and each would remain sighted in.
This gun by its uniqness and condtion is one we would normally be able to sell for about half the price. of this one. Its not for everyone but for somone who wants are really special and unique example

Separately the scope will not be recognized by young shooters but is a Bausch and Lomb ...the same folks who've made quality glass for generations. At the time this gun was made the scope was made in Rochester New York (later moved overseas) and the mount is also unique:
made specifially for these sopes also in Rochester by a company called Kuharsky....Unique in 2 respects: lst there are not adjustments in the scope, adjustments are done on the base. Additonally these were made at a time whe many had less disposable income than today; the scope is spring loaded into the base such that it can be removed in seconds. A fellow might hae had a second rifle with the same base...the scope could go from rifle to rifle and each would remain sighted in.
This gun by its uniqness and condtion is one we would normally be able to sell for about half the price. of this one. Its not for everyone but for somone who wants are really special and unique example
