Description: Antique REMINGTON Rolling Block Model No. 4 .32 RF SOLID FRAME BOY’S RIFLE VERY NICE Single Shot .32 Caliber Rimfire Rifle Here we present an antique Remington Rolling Block No. 4 Solid Frame Rifle in .32 Rimfire, manufactured circa the early 1890s in Ilion, New York. According to Remington records, the No. 4 Solid Frame was made from 1890 to 1900 with 144,000 made during that period. These were made before Remington used a date code. This example sports a serial number of “11706” making it an early manufacture. After 1901, added a “takedown” feature to that continued until the end of the production run in 1933. There was a total of approximately 356,000 of these rifles produced. This rifle is the classic “boy’s” rifle. It was also Remington’s smallest and lightest Rolling Block. Being a single shot, it naturally instills the “make your one shot count” mentality from a young age. The overall condition is very good. Original blue. Robust action. Bright, rifled bore.
