Description
Good condition Remington Rolling Block No. 1 Mid-Range rifle chambered in .40-70 Bottleneck Sharps. Barrel length is 30.5 inches, transitioning from octagon to round. Manufactured in the 1880s and classified as an antique, so no FFL is required.

Functionality is excellent. The chamber was professionally relined by Bobby Hoyt. The rifle has been fired; it is reliable but will not win competitive matches.

The rifle features the correct Remington mid-range venier tang sight and the correct Remington wind-gauge target front sight. A rear dovetail sight is installed in the barrel slot, but it is not original to this rifle.

This is a solid and mechanically sound example of the desirable Mid-Range Rolling Block.
