Remington Rolling Block -Rare- D Grade - Short Range 1&1/2 chambered in .32-30, in very good condition
Description: Beautiful short range Remington 1&1/2 Rolling Block. This D grade rifle, chambered in .32-30, is an extremely rare version and has been owned by several notable single shot rifle collectors. This very rifle, serial #1471, appears in Roy Marcot's book on Remington on page 80 and was in his collection at that time. Believed to have been built pre 1888 this handsome rifle is in very nice condition for it's age. Wood is in very nice condition and retains much of it's original finish. Barrel is 30" and the bore is in excellent condition with only a few light shadowed areas. There is some bluing loss towards the muzzle but overall the finish is very nice for a rifle of this vintage. Reciever and action cycle nicely and lock up tightly. Reciever is still shows nice coloration from the case hardening. Bluing on hammer is deep. Spirit level front sight. Gun has been well cared for over the years.
