Remington Zouave. .58 percussion Civil War Rifle ... EXCELLENT.... LAYAWAY?
Description:
OVERALL, EXCELLENT!....Remington Zouave. .58 percussion. 33 inch barrel. The barrel retains about 40% original blue finish. Only traces of case color on the lock. The wood was very lightly cleaned at some point. The cartouches are still visible but not as crisp as a gun that has never seen cleaning. There are some extra nipples in the patch-box along with a tip for the cleaning rod/bullet worm. I believe the strap is original. Functional STRONG mechanics. The bore is mostly bright and shiny with crisp rifling, but from about where the 2nd barrel band is down toward the breech end there is light residue and spotting. The rifling is still crisp in the breech end of the bore. The shoulder strap appears to be original. Very good overall.
