Description:
The Model 721 was introduced after WWII as a modern rifle, based upon the Mauser K91 bolt action rifle. It is widely known for the strength of the action and the accuracy the rifles achieved. Eventually they were replaced by the Model 700. This one is no safe queen and shows use as a field gun, with numerous scratches in the wood and fading of the metal blue, especially around the carry point. The bore is very good with crisp rifling. The barrel code "OXX" would place manufacture date around 1951. .30-06 Springfield
