This timeless beauty of a 2d generaltion 700 BDL (Ribbon Checkered) is in exceptional conditon for its age (55 yrs) has not spent much time in the field. Minimal compression marks on the handsome American Walnut Stock, NO loss of blue on hinged floor plate from being carried, no rust or pitting or meaningful scratches or other. It comes with a unique period correct Weaver V8 ; these are unique in that the adjustment is in the base. Many of these older scopes have lost their seal howeverr this one has not and it could be taken out today and hunted with today in states that have late seasons. Younger shooters will dismiss the cal as old school while in fact it may be the most versatile of all; at one time commercial loadings were avail from 110 gr to 220 and possibly 250 gr and taken game from ground squirrels to elephant .
