This Remington 700 Custom KS Mountain Rifle, chambered for .338 WIN magnum, is a bolt-action rifle with a carbon steel barrel, extra lightweight Kevlar fiber-reenforced gray stock, a 26 ¼-inch barrel (including compensator), and sling swivel studs. It is factory drilled and tapped for a scope and has a Leupold quick-release scope base mounted (no scope or rings). The trigger pull is a little over 3 pounds, maybe 3½. The length of pull of the rifle is 13½ inches. The date of manufacture November 1988. There are no box, papers, or other accessories with this gun.
At 99 percent overall, this rifle is in very excellent condition. I hesitate to call anything 100 percent that is not new-in-the-box. The metal has no scratches, mars, scuffs, or signs of wear. The bore is bright and shiny. The Kevlar stock is practically perfect; it also has no mars or scuffs, or signs of wear. The rubber recoil pad has dried somewhat and has developed some cracks.
