"Scoped Remington M1903A3 rifle .30-06 (L2025-09592)

"Serial Number 4101310. Made in 1944 with a 24-inch round barrel made by Remington in December 1943. The bore is bright with strong visible rifling. Although this is an M1903A3 rifle, it has been converted in such a way as to produce an M1903A4 sniper rifle clone using a Weaver K3 60C telescopic sight with tapered post reticle. The front sight has also been removed as a part of the conversion to the 1903A4 configuration & the bolt handle has been modified to clear the scope. The channel in the receiver that was cut to accommodate the modified bolt handle has been crudely colored with what appears to be cold blue. The WW2 production M1903A3 C-stock has been notch modified for the bolt handle as well. A stress crack is developing in the stock at the rear of the trigger guard, but that crack can be repaired. Overall condition is fair. Comes with a leather M1907 sling.
