Lee Arms Model 1879 Magazine Rifle
Description: This is one of the early Lee Arms Model 1879 .45-70 magazine rifles built for the US Navy. Later models made by Remington as the Remington-Lee. This rifle is missing its bolt. Perhaps a butchered rifle can be found as a donor. The stock is in very good condition. Missing rear sight, middle barrel band and cleaning rod. It has been converted to single shot and magazine cut-off has been removed. Stock filled at that point. It does have the rare box magazine that has had its internals removed. These can be made from a later Lee-Enfield magazine internals. The bore is shootable. The rifle is rare enough to be worthy of restoration. $600 + Shipping.
