It has a 24-inch barrel, a hooded blade front fixed sight [C64157-4], an adjustable military style aperture rear sight, and a smooth hardwood stock. The forearm is a smooth grip, two-piece hardwood. The barrel is arsenal stamped with an R A flaming bomb, and 2-43. The receiver is roll stamped "U.S/REMINGTON/ MODEL 03-A3/3489308". The reverse of the barrel is stamped with a P. The Model 03-A3 was produced during WWII to arm the rapidly expanding armed forces. It has subtle variations from the original Model 03 to reduce costs and increase production. The metal finish is in very good to excellent condition. The wood is in excellent condition with only a single 4 mm compression mark to the left side adjacent to the receiver.
