Description:
This classic deer rifle out of the woods in the North East is in good condition for its 70 plus years with only minor isolated areas where it has lost some finish. Zero rust, Zero cracks and Zero repairs; just a nice honest woods rifle. Younger hunters may not know that 300 Savage was marketed by Savage to produce balistics similar to the 30 06 as they hoped to get Mil contracts. Is is nearly the equivalent of 308 with lower chamber pressures.
Handsome and fast handling pump action allows for fast follow up shots without taking ones eye out of the sight picture helping to prevent lost or wouned game. Capable on game up to Moose and Elk at reasonable distances .
It is missing a magazine....it should function with more commonly found .308 mags but we have not tried this
