REMINGTON MODEL 14 TAKEDOWN PUMP 35 REM. MFD 1931 C&R OK
Description:
Includes 1 box of handloaded 200gr ammo with 16 rounds and 4 brass that I used to test it that will ship seperately. Trades considered for marlin 25-35/36 lever or winchester in that with a curved lever, 257 roberts lever, or marlin 336 308mx. For 90 years old i will not pic this one apart to much, lol. fires and functions just fine for me with a fantastic bore and rifling with plenty of shine still especially for year. will let the pics do the talking for condition of metal but to me for year it looks very good. The forestock looks excellent with one indentation seen. All screws look excellent including the take down screw with maybe the exception of the buttplate screws. As far as bad i would say the buttplate as it is broke on both ends to the screws so it needs another one or buttpad which is what i would put on it as it has a pretty good kick with 200 grain bullets! **UPDATE** After looking into it I believe the buttplate is not original and the "repair" made on the bottom is where the original metal butt plate would have fit into and someone just filled it in because they could not find one or did not try to. It has some smaller chipping out of the top with no repair. If you know of one for sale I would be interested in purchasing it to restore it to factory. Other than that the buttstock looks very good to excellent for year with no cracks or other repairs seen. Could probably be a collector if this was fixed. Still a great light hunting gun in an excellent caliber for brush and woods hunting. I believe these were the first tubular feed guns you could put pointed bullets in safely. Can ship to an FFL usps with insurance for additional fee and if it must ship from an ffl it will be another $50.00 SOLD AS IS WHERE IS WITH NO INSPECTION PERIOD.
