Description: This gun is pictured on page 108 of the Remington Rolling Block Sporting Rifles by Marcot and Lewis. This is an early one with the round top frame. Walnut stocks are uncheckered and in excellent condition with most varnish and a rifle style buttplate. 30 inch octagon barrel with a very good bore. The receiver is elaborately engraved in the typical rolling block style engraving. Back of barrel as well as front of barrel is engraved. Beechs front sight and typical Remington flip up rear sight. Gun retains about 90% original blue turning dark. Receiver has some poor storage spots but retains traces of case color turning dark. Rolling block with gold gilted hammer.
