REMINGTON ~ 550-1 ~ .22 S, L, LR

Description:
The 550-1 Remington has an interesting history. The rifle was originally released in 1946 as a continuation of the 550A. The 550s were well-regarded for their reliability and accuracy, and, with tube feed and a "floating chamber," were able to cycle all three sizes of .22 rimfire interchangeably. The single most obvious feature was a deflector to send hot empties forward, away from the shooter's face. They were designed primarily as small game hunting rifles, but their accuracy brought them to target competitions as well. This one is in better shape than most. the bore is clean, the metal largely defect-free, and the wood is sound. .22 Short/Long/Long Rifle
