Notes:
The Remington Model 597 is a semi-automatic rimfire rifle produced by Remington Arms from 1997 until it was discontinued in 2019. Designed as a direct competitor to the ubiquitous Ruger 10/22, it features a unique twin-tool-steel guide rail system for its bolt, a standard 10-round detachable box magazine, and a last-round bolt hold-open mechanism (a distinct advantage over the stock Ruger 10/22).

Action: Semi-automatic, blowback-operated.

Calibers: Primarily .22 Long Rifle (.22 LR); also produced in .22 WMR (Magnum) and .17 HMR (the latter was subject to a safety recall).
