REMINGTON ARMS Model 12-C TARGET MODEL .22 S, L, LR SLIDE ACTION Rifle C&R c1920s Era PUMP ACTION Rifle Octagonal VERY NICE
Description: REMINGTON ARMS Model 12-C TARGET MODEL .22 S, L, LR SLIDE ACTION Rifle C&R c1920s Era PUMP ACTION Rifle Octagonal VERY NICE Here we present a C&R Remington Arms Co. Model 12-C Slide Action Rifle in .22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle made circa 1920 in Ilion, New York. The “C” designation is for the target model. This side ejecting takedown rifle was designed by John Pederson and was introduced in 1909 and production continued through 1936. During its 37 year production run, there were 820,759 guns sold. It has an internal hammer with a sleek receiver. This rifle featured a hammerless action and competed quite successfully with the 1906 Winchester which still had an exposed hammer. The Model 12 Remington was available in several different configurations with the standard Model 12 coming with a walnut stock, with either a shotgun type or crescent buttplate. Deluxe varieties came with checkered forearms and stocks along with engraving, as different options were available directly from the Remington factory. Many of our forebearers would have used a rifle like this to put a rabbit or squirrel in the pot during the Great Depression. The overall condition is fine. Original high-quality blue finish. The action is excellent and the bore is fine: shiny bright with sharp rifling. The walnut stock is in great shape and solid; there is a short split (about 1.5”) along the grain on the right side of the grip where it meets the frame. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 24 inches. Caliber: .22 S, L, LR Rimfire Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1800 #233486 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
