I'm selling my collection. Here is a Remington Model 81 Grade One Semi-Auto Takedown Semi-Auto Rifle, C&R or FFL is required. It’s chambered for the ultimate hard hitting caliber .300 Savage. According to the serial number and the markings it was manufactured in 1949, which 7,409 were shipped that year. Found in good condition, 22" barrel, the bore is very good and shiny with deep sharp rifling. Comes with its rare period Peep-Sight Williams ( value over $275 when ever you can find one). The finely checkered walnut of the stock & forearm is excellent, the original blue finish rates 85-90%, thinning on high edges, tiny scratches & pin prick cluster spots of erosion here and there ( all visible on the pictures), it was drilled & tapped for scope mount, plugged in professionally. It was well kept. The successful design of John Browning the Remington Model 8/81. I haven't shot this one. I described it to the best of my knowledge. Please don't ask for extra pictures. Ammunitions & Pamphlets shown on the pictures are not for sale. Buyer is responsible for knowing all laws pertaining to this transaction. The pictures are taken from the actual rifle.
