REMINGTON BEALS SINGLE SHOT RIFLE IN 32 LONG RF

Description:
Features a special order full silver frame. The 28 inch part round part octagon barrel chambered in 32 Long Rimfire caliber has VG bore with deep rifling. Barrel is a plum/brown patina with traces of original blue showing through. Original folding ladder rear sight and a dovetailed base that is missing the blade for the front. Receiver has about 95% original silver plate turning a little crackly and lifting somewhat. Walnut stock retains most original varnish with just a few light handling mars and the correct silver plated buttplate. Remington - Beals special order single shot sporting rifles are pretty scarce.These were made from 1866-1872. Less than 900 of them were made over those 7 years. These were under-powered and not very popular. To find one in any condition is hard. A rare gun for any Remington collection.
