VERY RARE CARLOS GOVE REMINGTON NO. 1 ROLLING BLOCK SPORTING RIFLE CIRCA 1870’S. .40-50 Sharps Necked caliber 30” octagon false muzzle No. 3 barrel stamped on the top flat near the breech “C. GOVE/DENVER COL” and behind the rear sight “E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION, N.Y.”. 100% original and in very good condition. Special features include a Remington Single Set Trigger, Carlos Gove adjustable buckhorn rear sight, nickel blade front sight, Gove single wedge forend key, deluxe Gove pistol grip stock and forend with Gove pewter forend cap and distinctive elongated pistol grip and Gove Rocky Mountain style case hardened butt plate. Case colored frame with almost all the original color and blued barrel show . Stock and forend near mint with all the original finish. Breech block with the original bright blue. Exceptional screws. blue. Original wood cleaning rod with brass tip. Perfect working order and mint bore. One of the finest Carlos Gove, Denver Remington No. 1 in existence and very rare and desirable. Never on the market before!!!!!!
