Remington.(SOLD) Model No.1 Action. Rolling Block Military Musket. Cal. 43 Spanish. 36" round barrel with a near mint bore, and perfect action. Also known as the Patria, custom made for the Argentine Army. Full length walnut stock and double sling swivels. Has an Argentine model 1879 rear sight, which is unlike the rear sight on any other Rolling Block. The rear of the barrel on all of these rifles and carbines have a distinctive 2 1/8" octagonal chamber. "B" stamped on left side of barrel with no other markings on barrel. Barrel retains 90% blue finish. Frame colors have darkened. Stocks are excellent. This rifle is featured on pages 161-162 in the book "Remington Rolling Block rifles of the World" by George Layman.
