Remington Number 5 Rolling Block 7mm. Serial number 2232 features a 30-inch barrel, ladder rear sight and bayonet. CONDITION: The bore is smooth and bright with no signs of roughness. Mechanics of the action are proper. Barrel blue is approximately 65 percent, with some rubbing to silver. Action colors are approximately 70 percent with areas of light tarnish. Wood is approximately 65 percent, with a number of rubs, impressions and some splintering around the metal butt plate (above the toe, both sides). The bayonet and sheath are in very good condition. MARKINGS: "U" appears on the left side of the front band. Caliber marking "CAL 7MM" shows on the barrel. "2232 appears 2x on the left side of the action under the wood and "229 (lazy 9)" is under the wood on the right. Maker's name and address appears in three lines on the tang.
