Description: U.S. Military REMINGTON Model 541X .22 Cal. Rimfire Modern TRAINING Rifle U.S. TRAINER with WILLIAMS APERTURE Peep Sight Here we present a Modern U.S. Military Remington Model 541X Training Rifle, chambered in .22 Long Rifle Rimfire, made circa 1984-86 in Elion, New York. This Model 541X target trainer is U.S. Property marked and was designed exclusively for the United States War Department and intended solely for the use of the U.S. Armed Forces. These rifles were used by the U.S. Army Shooting Team. There were only 9077 manufactured during its three year production run. This rifle was designed and built as a bolt action .22 Caliber Long Rifle rimfire with a 28” blue steel heavy barrel and action. It has a five round magazine and a hardwood walnut stock. It has a Williams Aperture rear receiver sight and a globe front sight with the post insert. The overall condition is very fine. Excellent, smooth action. Bright bore. The stock is in fine shape with less than average wear. Sharp markings. Williams rear peep sight. “US” stamped left receiver. This example includes a modern leather sling.
