Description: William Evans ( of Purdy's ) " Boxlock Ejector " Double Rifle in .470 N.E. A 1912 production rifle with 28" chopper lump barrels, hooded front sight with flip-up porcelanized bead " night sight ", and one standing and two folding exspress sights. Anson and Deeley boxlock action with two Purdy-style underbolts, a " dolls head " rib extension with third fastener, and selective automatic ejectors; the action covered in lovely scroll engraving and re-color hardened. The capped pistol grip stock of nicely figured English walnut has a 15" length-of-pull over a leather covered pad, the splinter fore-end is retained by a Jones-type fastner.
