You are looking at a high condition fantastic custom rifle built by Alvin Linden of Bryant, WI. He built this rifle in the 1930s for a young surgeon named Dr. Arthur Porter of Memphis, TN. Mr. Linden was a fellow who liked to stay connected to his clients during a building project. Included with the gun will be a 3-ring binder containing typed letters Linden wrote to Dr. Porter along with other paper work related to Mr. Linden. Some of the letters to the doctor have pencil drawings showing what Linden was explaining to Dr. Porter. Also included are the books Mr. Linden wrote about rifle rmaking and a book about famous custom rifle makers with a chapter about Alvin Linden.
