The Mossberg 144 US Military Trainer was manufactured from 1949-1954. The heavy barrel is 27.25 inches long. It has a Redfield side mounted fully adjustable rear peep sight and a globe front sight. It has a bore which is in excellent condition and has a 2-position serrated manual safety. The overall length of the rifle is 44.5 inches, and the length of pull is 13.5 inches. The action functions properly based on visual inspection. The magazine is removeable box. It has a blued finish that is in good condition with only minor imperfections. It has a one-piece birch stock which has a cheek rise and black plastic buttplate. The stock has a lower rail and sling swivels. The grip has black plastic finger grooves. The stock is in good condition with only some wear. It comes with one factory magazine. This rifle qualifies as a Curio and Relic and can ship where legally allowed.
