Single Square Bridge Kurz action with a Lyman 48 receiver peep sight, extended top tang, and a lever release floorplate. Pear drop Oberndorf factory bolt handle. Stocked in a very nice piece of French Walnut with rich color and contrast. Stock features include a shadow line pancake cheek piece, point pattern checkering, steel pistol grip cap, ebony forend tip, two screw inletted rear sling stud, and barrel tie down with eliptical steel escutcheon. LOP is 13 3/4" to a vintage Noshoc pad. This piece appears to be all original and in excellent overall condition for its age. Mr. Owen is considered to be one of the finest of the Pre-war gunmakers, most of his efforts directed to the Springfield.
