Description: 1949 Marlin Waffletop 336SC (1948-51) 1st model. 30-30 cal. Excellent Condition. Date codes indicate this specimen 1949mfg. Rare unmolested Waffletop Sporting Carbine with 2/3mag and 20" barrel Hard to find one which has not been drilled and tapped for scope mounts. This model has factory tapped reciever for a side-mount Peep sight. A vintage Redfield peep mount would make a nice addition. A classic rifle both fuctional and collectible. No major scratches om metal with slight bluing loss on high edges. Normal wear for a well maintained firearm. Excellent condition stocks with bullsye, High gloss with very light handing wear.
