Pre-owned Geco Model 28 (Sportbüchse) .22 LR in good condition. This vintage .22 LR is a single-shot, bolt-action training and target rifle produced by GECO in Germany between 1928 and 1939. This rifle was designed to be a more affordable alternative to the Mauser or Walther equivalent. Featuring a single piece smooth wooden stock, a 27.5-inch barrel, and a windage/elevation adjustable rear sight. This rifle was widely used for marksman training in Germany after World War I, following the disarmament agreements that restricted military-grade arms production. For the age, this rifle is in good condition, with the main markings being the discoloration of the stock around the trigger and grip from heavy usage. The rifle also has various scratches and markings along the stock and barrel but no major damage of any kind. The M28 is a special piece of history and would make a fine addition to any collection.
