Description:
I believe this is a Max Lepper "Ideal" falling block action from the 1920's in the popular 8.15x46R Schuetzen cartridge. It has a 25.5" barrel and weighs 6lb 9oz and is in good condition. The action is smooth and locks up tight and the bore is very good, fairly bright with well defined lands, showing minor signs of use with a sharp crown. The receiver shows minor amounts of case remaining with most of the original lacquer absent by this point. There is some fine pitting as shown on the barrel near the muzzle, as well as some below the wood line at the forend contact area.
