The magazine floor plate is engraved with a buck-doe-fawn deer scene surrounded by a floral pattern. The trigger guard, receiver, bolt handle, and scope rings are engraved with the same floral pattern. From what I understand, engravings on the Mannlicher Schönauer is rare. The overall length of the rifle is 40; its length of pull is 14½ inches, its unloaded weight is approximately 7.2 pounds. With a three-digit serial number, its year of manufacture is 1976.
This rifle is on consignment with me. The owner says he bought it years ago in Belgium, while stationed in Germany. He said he zeroed it and took it deer hunting in Germany. Other than that he hasn’t fired it. He does not know who many rounds were fired through it before he bought it. Given its condition, it has not been fired much.
