1940 MATCHING NON IMPORT RUSSIAN SVT40, SVT-40 RIFLE, WWII BRING BACK,7.62MM, NOT FINNISH
Description: This is a holy grail of my personal collection. Let me explain why this gun is 100 times more scarce than import marked arsenal refinished electropencilled SVT40s that are pushing $ 2800. This is one of the few true WWII bring backs. Finnish marked non-refinished rifles are NOT bring backs. They are also imports, just very early ones. Why are Russian WWII bring backs so scarce? Because US didnt fight Russia during WWII. The only way a WWII Russian gun ended up in the US is when a GI took it from a captured/dead German who in turn took it from a dead or captured Russian soldier. The rifle was underappreciated for its complexity by uneducated Red Army peasants but Germans liked it so much, its design influenced development of German G43 semi auto rifle. Whats even harder to find is an original matching SVT40. This one is, except mag which is never matching. Action is crisp and tight, bore is shiny with strong rifling, no rust or pitting visible. This is a very early 1940 dated gun with a 6 gill muzzle break and receiver that has a machined groove for the sniper scope. Original matching serial number on the receiver, bolt carrier, bolt, trigger guard and stock(faint on the stock but partially visble) CR is acceptable for this gun. Postal money orders only please.
