The Oviedo Model 1916 Mauser is a short-pattern bolt-action rifle produced by the Fabrica de Armas in Oviedo, Spain. Originally chambered in 7×57mm Mauser, many were later re-barreled by the Spanish military to fire 7.62×51mm NATO (.308 Winchester). It saw widespread use in Spain, including by the Guardia Civil.
