Cased in modern case, WJ Jeffery in caliber 500 Jeffery.Double square bridge magnum action, with flag safety, with "SAFE" in gold. Claw scope mounts, installed with a Swarovski Z6 1-6x24mm scope. The 24 1/2 " barrel has a quarter rib housing one standing and two folding leaf express rear sights regulated to 50,100 and 150 yards. The front sight is banded ramp featuring single bead and flip over moon sight. "WJ Jeffery" name engraved on top of tapered barrel. The engraving was executed by master Marcus Hunt and features"Caliber .500 Jeffery" in gold ring on the magazine floorplate. Gold serial number and detailed gold elephant on grip cap ( signed "MHunt"). The stock is exhibition grade dark walnut with inletted rear sling swivel. Front sling swivel is properly barrel mounted.
LOP is 14-1/2" to the end of the traditional red recoil pad and weight is 12lbs scoped.Overall the rifle is in near new condition, showing only some handling marks on the wood.
Included is the leather case, new set of 500 Jeffery RCBS reloading dies. Also 4 boxes of Extreme Custom Ammunition (velocity data is included) 58 rounds of softs (535gr swift A frame) and 20 rounds of solids (535gr Woodleigh FMJ).
In the case is a Parker Hale cleaning rod, paired with a set of Kynoch cleaning brush and jag. Also included is a canvas carry strap with steel machined swivels exactly fitting the stock and barrel attachments and a Selvyt cleaning cloth.
Serial number 38500 seems to originate from the period 2001-2002 and the engraved Griffin and Howe name on the bottom of the barrel may indicate that that is how the rifle got to the USA.
