Westley Richards & Co. .375 H&H Magnum Best Quality Bolt Action Magazine Rifle completed in the early 1990’s and coming to market for the first time.
Built on an original magnum length single square bridge Mauser action fitted with a modern bolt shroud with a 3-position M70 type safety, Timney trigger, straddle floorplate with an inside-the-bow release, and a jeweled bolt body. Magazine holds 4 cartridges down and one in the chamber and the floorplate is engraved “5 CARTRIDGES”. The word “SAFE” is inlaid in gold under the safety and the Maker’s name inlaid in gold on top of the barrel.
The 24” barrel has Westley’s patented combination foresight and rear-folding sight protector and a quarter rib with 1 standing/2 folding rear sight leaves that are gold lined and engraved with their respective distances. The barrel is also fitted with a barrel-banded front sling swivel. The action is fitted with an H&H style Quick Release scope mount with 30mm rings.
The nicely figured walnut stock has 14” LOP over a leather covered pad, a RH traditional beaded cheekpiece, a trap grip cap, a single recoil bar, an ebony forend tip, and point pattern checkering that wraps around the forearm and wrist of the stock. The stock oval is engraved with a fleur de lis with a stud rear sling swivel.
Rifle remains all original in 98% overall condition and is available for the first time on the open market.
